A New Paradigm for Cosmology in the 21st Century

| June 2, 2015 | 0 Comments

In this recent TEDx talk on cosmology, Mark Brodwin discusses his work as well as the recent discoveries that are shaping the field in the dawn of the 21st century. According to Brodwin, the recent discovery and a number of observational confirmations of the fact that the Universe is expanding with acceleration, will be the main factor responsible for the direction of modern cosmology in this century.

Mark Brodwin uses the largest telescopes on Earth and in space to discover and study rare, distant galaxy clusters to understand the underlying physics that drives the growth of the most massive galaxies and the evolution of the Universe. Currently he works at the UMKC, where his other research directions include evolution of galaxy clusters and observational cosmology.
