Alien Life: How Close Are We to Finding It?

| August 9, 2014 | 0 Comments

In this presentation from the World Science Festival Paul Davies, Sara Seager, Jack Szostak, and other experts discuss the progress in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. The search for alien life encompasses many branches of science such as astronomy, biology, geophysics, astrophysics and mathematics. For this reason, a number of leading experts in the mentioned fields have been invited to discuss the extraordinary search and what has to be done to progress forward. Even though a lot of progress has been seen in the last decade, especially in the hunt of exoplanets, there are still many unanswered questions, such as what would the extraterrestrials look like, how would they live and communicated and whether it is at all possible for us to detect them.
