John Barrow is an English cosmologist and a theoretical physicists working on various topics in fundamental physics and cosmology. In this talk from the series “Philosophy of Cosmology”, Barrow will present the constants of nature and their role in modern physics. Anyone acquainted with modern physics knows the importance of certain constants in physics, such as the speed of light c, the fine structure constant α and Planck’s constant h. Many of these constants not only appear in the most important laws, but also might hold the key to the understanding of the nature of the universe. All of this and more is discussed in this talk.
