Debating the Big Bang Theory

In this recent debate, world’s leading cosmologists and theoretical physicists Sir Roger Penrose, Prof John Ellis & Prof Laura Mersini-Houghton debate the theory of Big Bang. This theory is the pinnacle of standard cosmology, which, as the name implies, is the accepted theory of the evolution of the universe. As any theory, however, it contains problems, such as what exactly happened at the first moments in the history of the universe or, if such a question even makes any sense, what happened before the Big Bang?
