A bunch of great TED talks on science and engineering have been posted recently, so here’s an update. In this talk, Frederic Kaplan, a researcher and an engineer, will discuss his idea of digitizing vast historical archives and presenting such information in an open and easy-to-access format.  So, for example, imagine if you could use Facebook to access the profiles of the people from the middle ages, or surf the Google maps not only in space, but also in time. According to Dr Kaplan, all of this is possible — we have the technology, thus all we need is time and a little creativity.
