As it is clear from this quote and the wide applicability of thermodynamics in many areas of physics and chemistry, it is far from some obscure classical physics theory that we learn in high school and then forget all about it. In fact, it is crucial for understanding many topics in modern physics.

So here’s a playlist of 36 lectures on the basics of thermodynamics from MIT. The course is delivered by Prof. Keith A. Nelson and is great for beginners and for revision as well.
