Have you ever wondered how the original scientific papers of the greatest physicists of the 20th century looked like? If your answer is yes than I have a book just for you – “The Dreams that Stuff is Made Of” edited by Stephen Hawking. The best thing about this book that it is basically a collection of original revolutionary scientific papers on quantum mechanics by scientists like Paul Dirac, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Erwin Schroedinger and others.

About the Editor

His research focused mostly on theoretical cosmology, especially black holes. Besides that Stephen Hawking has become widely known for his popular science books like “A Brief History of Time”, “Universe in a Nutshell” and others.

About the Book

The Dreams that Stuff is Made Of is a great guide edited by the best-selling author Stephen Hawking to the mysterious world of quantum mechanics. With Hawking’s insightful commentary the readers are led to the roots of quantum theory. Starting with revolutionary works of Niels Bohr ending with greatest works of Richard Feynman, all the greatest moments in the history of quantum physics are covered in this huge book (1176 pages). I think this book is a must-have for everyone who loves physics as it is an amazing collection of the best original scientific papers on quantum mechanics and more. Though I really enjoyed the book, I have to warn the reader that the downside of this book that it was rushed and contains some typographic mistakes, so If you’re planning to buy this I’d suggest waiting for a re-edited version. Also note that this book is a collection of original research papers by leading scientists so naturally it requires advance understanding of physics, thus I would recommend this mostly for physicists and physics students.

In the Dreams……book I have found a typo on page 9 in
the first line on the page “patters” , I believe this
word should be “patterns”. THere are supposedly a number of other typos. I would urge anyone who finds one
to report it especially if one detects a typo in a formula. One individual claims there a quite a few in A.E’s first paper, I would really like to know what they
